If you missed the opening, don’t worry, you can drop by anytime to the Official Bad Art Museum of Art at Cafe Racer because it’s now open from 7am until 2am, 7 days a week. Stop by for lunch or dinner or a cold one after work and view the stupendous art.

Last weekend I went back to the De Young with some of the local crafty ArtCar wimmin. I got some photos of those amazing gun/bullet sculptures by Al Farrow (along with some other stuff) though still not able to get sneak shots of the Yves Saint Laurent exhibit.

Lymm Water tower house is an awesome and unique family house, designed by Ellis William Architects, it has a stunning design for the interior and exterior, a perfect combination of form and function. The Harris family commissioned EWA to convert a derelict water tower into a contemporary family home. The product was a minimalist interjection within the former tower and a circular extension housing the main living spaces. Beautiful!

This is a great day for America, on so many levels and in so many ways.

Jodavid and I are Obama supporters and we’ve been working on the “OBAMA” Room at Cafe Racer. That is the acronym for the Official Bad Art Museum of Art. So of course we chose to spend election night there, in the OBAMA room, with our friends.

Kurt, the owner and chef, read that an analysis was done to see how much each vote costs and with over one billion dollars spent during the campaign season, the cost for each vote totaled eight dollars. So Cafe Racer had an election party and for the Obama supporters served Obama’s most favorite food, chili, using his own recipe, for $8 and for the McPalin supporters, they served prune juice and caribou jerky.

After McCain conceded and Obama made his acceptance speech, there was a spontaneous dancing in the streets. Jo posted the video on Seattle Twist.

I am so proud of America right now.

Klein Bottle House

The Klein Bottle House is located in Rye, Australia and designed by Rob McBride. the unusual home design was inspired by its namesake: the klein bottle. this 19th century invention is used to describe a form which has no distinguishable inside or outside. the architects also wanted to move away from the paradigm of designing buildings based on orthogonal methods and instead imbrace the complexity inhernt with computer aided design (cad). while the desigm imbraced mathematics and digital design it also references
the vernacular australian cement sheet beach house. the house recently won the Harold Desbrowe-Annear award in architecture. it is made from concrete sheets and black metal, which are both folded and twisted
to create the multitude of angles.
